The project involved the refurbishment of a Grade II Listed building in Soho Square to provide a new HQ for Dolby Laboratories.
Major structural alterations were required where a column free space was created to provide a 58 screening room at ground floor.
Due to the listed basement vaults, new columns from above were not permitted to puncture the vaults to new foundations.
A double height box frame was provided to transfer the loads back to the existing foundations to create the column free space.
Other structural works included the provision of new plant platform at roof level and alterations to floors to create new risers and floor strengthening.
