John joined the practice in 1991 after a period with Sir Frederick Snow & Partners. He became an Associate in 1994 and a Partner in 1997.

John is responsible for much of our work with the John Lewis Partnership for their department stores and with Waitrose for their supermarkets. This work has included deep basements and heavy civil engineering work. He manages our work on the Grosvenor Estate, including residential refurbishments, new buildings and assisting the Estate in overseeing tenant alterations.

Other projects have included large shopping malls, commercial developments, hotels, industrial buildings and airports. Overseas work has included projects in Greece, Spain and Jamaica.

John acts as an expert witness on matters of forensic engineering, structural deterioration, subsidence, buildability and other structural engineering issues. He is in charge of our planning supervision work under the CDM Regulations.

He also undertakes due diligence surveys on behalf of funds, tenants and landlords.
